Step 1: Sand the door to create a rough surface.
Step 2: Use a filler to repair any noticeable damage and make sure the surface is dry and clean before you begin painting.

Step 3: Remove any door accessories and use masking tape to cover any permanent elements.

Step 4: Apply one coat of Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Flexible Undercoat for excellent coverage and opacity, using an acrylic bristle brush.

Step 5: For a gloss finish choose Dulux Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior High Gloss, a water-based product which is low odour, acrylic based, and better for the environment.

Step 6: Finish by applying two coats of your preferred topcoat in your chosen colour. Leave to dry for four hours before you apply the second coat.
