When apllied as a continuous strip around vulnerable plants, it acts as a natural barrier helping to prevent slugs and snails from attacking plants.Oyster Shells are a rich source of nitrogen, calcium and magnesium. In combination these nutrients also provide nitrogen for plant growth. Magnesium to allow plants take in surrounding nutrients and calcium for a balanced soil pH.Oyster Shells are also a wonderful carbon sink, taking vast quantities of carbon out of the atmosphere.
